FNBE E-portfolio July intake 2012: Final Project- Art Installation

This is the final project for our Design Visualisation.We were give a task to design an ArtTree for Art Installation within our campus.Everyone of us had given our own design printed in A2 size. The best designs were chosen and they were separated into groups. We start our work from design on a paper into real object. I was in the group of the ArtTree-''From Past to Future''.It was designed by my course mate, Reeve Lim. I was glad in a group with him, Chuah Wei Hong and Kelvin Chiew. All of them were responsible and creative team mates. I worked very well with them.

From Past To Future
According to Reeve Lim Choon Wah,The ArtTree is about: From the few thousands ago to now, our mankind started to evolve everything like housing at our environment day by day to improve the living of our daily life. But the mankind had been started to ignored about the pollution of the environment and start using chemical substances to create instead of using nature resources like wood and bamboo to build the house instead of using the new things created by the mankind which are concrete and even more. We all also ignored the tree, grass, and the plant in the future now it caused the weather getting hotter and the air was polluted badly. Conclusion, we must stop all these negative things towards our environment and to improve the nature land.

The A2 size presentation. It was separated into 4 side representing 4eras. Wooden era,Bamboo era, Moden era and Digital era.

From this project, I have been able to apply basic principles and elements of design and drawing as a language to visualise and to communicate ideas. Also, I have learned how to communicate and perform a good teamwork with my group member, and during the time we build the model, I have learned how to analyse the problem of the model and how to make the lighting.
